The settling of the American west was not for the faint of heart. Both men and women at times had to take the law into their own hands and dispense it fairly. Also, unlike today, there were was no long wait to see how your appeals went, because the sentence was usually carried out within the hour.

Additionally, some of the crimes in those days would hardly be considered serious crimes today (stealing a horse usually resulted in death by hanging is an excellent example), but often there was good sound logic behind the laws. The same could be said of rustlin' cows or just being dishonest at the wrong time. The moral standards were totally different as well and the man had to walk his talk. It was a time when a man's word was as binding as a signed contract is today.

You will find peoples of many different races, religions, and nationalities in my books. I write of all the peoples who have made our country great, not just one group. The West was a huge melting pot for all who had the guts and desire to settle there. As a result, it was magnet for all types of men and women.

However, times change and so do the people. In my Novels, I have attempted to show how everyday people, just like you and I, have influenced this great country. It is of these no-named people I write about, because as a group they have contributed the most.

So, pull up a chair, relax and read about the Old West.
